Stardew Valley but in a seaside town setting!
You can fish, cook, help NPCs, gift them stuff, and best of all you can pet your dog!!!
The graphics are simple but cute, and it's a very low-stress game that I've been playing for a bit recently on switch :)
Some cons:
- the camera is a little clonky
- fishing mechanics are a little simple considering that IS the premise of the game
(i personally like it tho)
- occasionally confusing boss battles
And the pros:
- story is genuinely sweet
- surprising amount of quality content for the price (~$25 ish on switch)?
- NPCs are v cute
- dog :)
- art style is SUPER cute!
i have played a fair amount of this game, and i know it to be pretty popular with some animal crossing fans. not necessarily your โclassic gamer styleโ game, itโs more like a relative of some of the farming and lifestyle sims like Harvest Moon. it does incorporate different types of gameplay, like fishing, mining, crafting, cooking, and romancing the weird lil townsppl
weather's slowly getting warmer in tokyo so went on a walk around shakujii park in the nerima district! a little sad cherry blossom season's coming to an end but hopefully i'll be around next year to see it again :) fav places to walk around?
