I bought a book that caught my eye from a bookstore in Boston either as a high schooler or college student. As a busy, unmotivated ex-reader, I could barely get past the first 10 pages. For at least four years but probably more, Iβve picked up and read the first few pages a few times. Itβs come with me to every apartment and most vacations. I read some books for pleasure last year, the first since middle school, and felt like a baddie. Then I started a meh book and fell off the reading train. I brought this new book on a trip this weekend and started it over yesterday. It is so good. I just finished it. I knew it was worth taking everywhere. Am very proud of myself :,)
Especially when it's a sizeable one and you haven't read any books for months and months ( Just tore through Christopher Isherwoods 'Goodbye to Berlin' )
