domonique24ktgold I find Herbert’s writing hard to stick with, so just the first two up until now. I love the story and the vibes though, so number three is will be the book I start after finishing the revelation space series.

A collection of heady short stories, similar to Ted Chiang, but set in the same galaxy. It was written to be like a sci-fi Canterbury Tales, so you get a little bit of everything. The follow up, The Fall of Hyperion, is also worth a read. I wouldn’t bother with the sequels after that.

Really good stuff, both epic in scale and fairly hard scifi. The Ringworld Series is pretty interesting. Rendezvous with Rama is a classic. Standing on Zanzibar for something a bit more highbrow. The Neuromancer Trilogy for that Cyberpunk edge (or the Bridge Trilogy which is a whole vibe) The Cryptonomicon, although that might not be considered scifi? Snow Crash is pretty fun too
