Specifically, In the Shadow of the Valley By Bing Nathan, Don Burnham, Rick Dougherty, and Chuck Aronson.
This twangy, heart pulling classic has been heavy in my current rotation. I live in NYC but am from the Wild West, so this is the perfect jam for my late night commute home on the J. Makes me feel like I just spent a long day hearding cattle in the city (I have). Also, it’s fantastic for a brooding, forlorn 22 year old woman that longs for a love she’s never known with a strong, stoic cowboy.
So comfy. Feels like being under a warm blanket and reading a fun book about legends and stories of the old west, heroes and horses. The albums John Wesley Harding through Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid. Favorite songs: The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest, Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You, Days of ‘49, If Not For You (George Harrison also did a great version of this!)

This is one of my all time favorite photos! It was one of my first photoshoots I did after moving to NYC.
I shot this in Central Park with Hannah without ever meeting her prior to the shoot. I was nervous! It was a super busy day and we were in harsh daylight, but Hannah trusted me to make her look good, and I trusted Hannah to execute my vision. Styled and edited by me as well
