Most records are usually sorted by genre or the time where the album was produced so I just look around and write down the album/artists names in my notes app cause sometimes the variety that they have in stores can be overwhelming. Then on my way home I give a listen to each artist. Sometimes the cover art can be a good indicator of what the music will be like so that’s also helpful.
most record stores are doing editorial better than publications these days. Norman Records, Bleep, Boomkat… Find a few that align with your tastes and catch up with them on a Sunday morning
Yesterday I had a dream about different varieties of garlic, one being the size of an orange… come to find out there are only like 3 types of garlic but fun fact! Artichokes are apparently in the same family as garlic.
