Shazaming

I love music recommendations from friends but sometimes the universe is dropping bangers for you! Old dudes on motorcycles will play the greatest funkiest music ever and I will Shazam every single time I cross paths with them while on a walk. I have the Shazam widget on my phone for situations like this. Grocery stores and drug stores are great too. Show and Tell by Al Wilson (linked) is one of my favorite songs, and I shazam’d it at a CVS.

keeping a playlist of music you haven’t listened to

every time i hear a good clip on social media or hear someone talk about an artist that sounds interesting i add the song or artist to a playlist called new + untested to go to when i want to try something new. best way to constantly be discovering new music.
