Meaning, allow yourself to relax from the constant pressure of sounding smart or intelligent! Around others and especially around and to yourself. I've found myself in the habit of over-explaining myself in conversations that I am not confident in talking about just because I was under the impression that I needed to look and sound smart to others. Genuinely f**k that! Don't overcomplicate things because you feel the need to impress. Often, that just leads to self-hatred, feeling dumb trying to get on the level of whoever you're talking to, and inserting yourself into conversations that you are not educated on.
TLDR: It's okay to say that you don't know about something or aren't educated enough. And it's even more okay to simplify your opinion instead of talking out of ur ass.

my life greatly improved when i stopped trying to anticipate what other people expected me to say (i’m pretty bad at it) and started being straightforward and honest about how i feel and what i think. don’t hide behind being nonchalant and ironic! show people how much you do care and who you genuinely are! it’s scary, but makes it much easier to discern who you truly vibe with and remember who you truly are :)

i choose to live with my heart on my sleeve at every second of the day. i will never apologize for putting myself out there or reaching out to people that inspire me! unfortunately, i’ve often struggled to find honest, nourishing relationships with like minded people. i’ve learned that many people find it intimidating when someone is so up front and comfortable with their own feelings and self expression… i’ve felt the isolation that comes with being unapologetically myself. all i can say is that when you DO find other people who are true to themselves- i think it’s one of the most rewarding experiences you can have as a human.
i love being alive, i love creating, i love the earth, i love people, and i love being me!!
