a “get free” society 🌳

This question has been in the back of my mind for the past few years because when we talk about “getting free“ we have to acknowledge that the bounds of the society we’ve created aren’t free at all. Getting free means breaking from oppressive power structures, having the freedom to collaborate with others without pretense of capital, the freedom to imagine new systems of governance for ourselves with the ability to change with consensus and the ability for us as a peoples to live in the commons (that is this world) as good stewards to ourselves and nature~
I won’t get into it too much but I highly recommend folks read David Graeber and David Wengrow‘s ’How to Change the Course of Human History’ or any of the video essays by @Andrewism🌿 to get a better idea of what I’m talking about ✌🏾

Recently, i've really been into...

Expanding Vocabulary I’ve realized we encounter new words daily—words we don’t understand but often ignore. This year, I’m committing to expanding my vocabulary and actually learning those meanings instead of glazing over them. Let’s level up our language game! Arm Balances & Yoga Progress Practicing yoga consistently has been one of the most rewarding pursuits I’ve taken on. Watching your progress over time—getting stronger and finally holding poses you couldn’t before—is such an empowering and fulfilling experience. It’s all about showing up and witnessing yourself grow! Real Milk Only Cow milk only. Fuck a nut milk. Flipping the Script After a breakup two years ago, I channeled some serious “fuckboy” energy—and honestly? It’s been fun. Owning that mentality and flipping the script feels liberating in a way. #WomenInMaleFields Sports & Squads There’s something special about watching sports with your crew and a beer in hand. It’s more than just the game—it’s the sense of community and the shared hype. Big vibes all around! Calling Out Politicians Politicians won’t save us. Change and revolution start with the people. We need to revisit and study the writings of true revolutionaries—especially Black authors like Angela Davis, Malcolm X, and Assata Shakur. Their work is more relevant than ever.

was deep diving and rabbit holing. specifically about the phenomenon we call “tall poppy syndrome” over here in australia. very very interesting.. something i’ve been thinking about for a long while.…the disassembly of supportive communities. the stunting of creative growth. gatekeeping :( have lots to think and talk about now.

grandmas art

I took my 87 year old grandma to her first figure drawing class where she created this. she usually focuses in water color but half way thru the class we swapped supplies (my markers for her water colors) and she made this. i love her and the memory I have when I look at it
