i've never finished a book so fast in my life. she writes about life and grief in such an intimate way and i could honestly reread it forever. the opening lines are "Life changes fast. Life changes in the instant. You sit down to dinner and life as you know it ends." which, even on its own, is just wow

a recent favourite of mine. i'd also highly recommend going to your local library, picking random poetry books you like the look of (regardless of whether you recognise the author or not), and spending some time reading those. it's a great and inexpensive way to discover new poetry; i wouldn't have known about ada limon otherwise.
