a stop motion educational tv show set it an eclectic game factory there's actually a mix of a bunch of different animation styles, but yeah this show was odd. cool though. personal favorite segments were radio scramble, eddie bull and captain bones

I've never watched unknown side effects specifically but it looks like similar vibes to Carol at the end of the world which made me cry about as much as midnight gospel could. superjail has always reminded me of the whacked out vibes of Pendleton ward's stuff, animation is cool, just a bit raunchy and out there - still a cult classic and you can have fun with it. I think the closest thing I can recommend that I've watched is smiling friends - again a bit more raunchy sometimes but not as bad as superjail and gets less deep than midnight gospel. just really dumb fun. If you like smiling friends maybe yolo: crystal fantasy but I didn't watch a lot of that just remember thinking the pilot was pretty fun. also obviously I could say some studio ghibli, especially howls moving castle, but stylistically/tone wise I know it's different. but it definitely reminds me of the vibe of Pendleton wards work just a little differently, a great chill movie though also if you've never watched regular show, do that

i love cartoons. also adventure time (duh), futurama, inside job was good, midnight gospel, and the second best hospital in the galaxy. if you want to be a bit bummed out you should probably watch bojack or moral orel (claymation actually)

Gumby was my favorite show as a teenager. Yes a teenager. I found the entire series on YouTube and watched all of it. Itโ€™s so well done and the plots are insane. In my favorite episode Gumby and Pokie, his other clay friend that is also a horse, decide to bake a pie. Before they can even start one of the pies starts talking to him and says โ€œcome on inโ€ so they go into the oven. They discover a pie making factory inside the oven. They learn how pies are made and then the pies turn on them. Itโ€™s a wild story and my favorite quote is โ€œthe dough needs the dough?โ€ โ€œNo it KNEADS it.โ€ All the episodes are strange like that. And he has more clay friends that do crazy stuff โ€” Iโ€™m telling you this show is like nothing else.

or junk journaling, if you'd like to not perpetuate myths about crows liking to collect trinkets. i just think it sounds cuter weirdly, as someone who's a writer, i've never really been good at or liked journaling. every planner i've ever owned has remained empty. if i try to write something any time other than when the fancy strikes me, it just feels inauthentic, like i'm trying too hard. this has been the first time journaling actually felt like it had a purpose for me, and actually felt weirdly therapeutic basically, it's just anything i can recycle, i make into a page. i like a common theme, so places i've visited, media i like, similar aesthetics, emotions i'm feeling. and then we get the qr code page & i'm reminded that this is probably the quintessential depiction of what scoring 121 on the RAADS-R looks like eh, i'm having fun๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

in agreement with mouse nitw soup rema see also agree with them that definitely limbo or inside will scratch the little nightmares itch, arguably playdead's games are a big inspiration for little nightmares. depending on what you're into (more story or more gameplay heavy) for story. i cannot recommend "what remains of edith finch" enough. just a true gem and some of the best of interactive storytelling for gameplay i love the witness, hi fi rush, and neon white. all very different, but maybe you'll find something you'll like for a mix if both, disco elysium. dialogue HEAVY, but based in like ttrpg systems, it's really fun. REALLY long though, like maybe put aside some time to crack that one open lol
