a cool little website that showcases songs on spotify that either have never been played or artists with very very low listeners. will you come across some weird shit that you may not be into? hell yeah, but that's part of the fun. i've personally found so many cool artists and as a small independent musician myself, i know how easy it is to get lost in the void. the underground is calling bby.

this is my favorite way to find new playlistsโ go to an artist's page that you like (ideally not extremely popular) and scroll down to the "discovered on" section, and it shows you playlists where people found this artist. i find so many great playlists from strangers on here (i avoid the spotify-made playlists like the plague, they feel soulless to me)

I love this site and have found some really cool stuff this way. It hasn't been updated recently because the owner of the site got fired from Spotify but it still has a lot of awesome stuff on it. Basically it lists all the microgenres into which Spotify groups artists. You can find some really obscure and interesting ones this way.

or really any social media stories. I know social media is just a highlight of a persons life but I feel like the stories feature is just a bombardment of happening-in-present-time content for me to compare myself to. my mental health has improved drastically.
