I have not stopped watching this for three months straight. It’s incredibly addictive, wholesome, entertaining, hilarious AND gets your brain to think outside the box!!! After a couple of seasons you will start finding Greg Davies sexy, it’s inevitable. My favourite season is 14, which is the first one I watched, because Fern Brady and Munya Chawawa are my absolute faves.

We all like to watch something cosy when we're feeling down, something safe that's always a joy to return to (for me, that's the first few seasons of Gilmore Girls and that one episode of Degrassi that Kevin Smith is in). But sometimes that just doesn't do it for me. Sometimes I need to watch Mark Corrigan fuck his life up in ways that make me cringe until my skull turns inside out, to remind me that I could be worse. There truly is no show more skin-crawling than the POV cringe comedy about the two most dysfunctional men in britain.

GOOD OMENS ik that there’s a lot of controversy around this show rn, but i genuinely love michael sheens and david tennants chemistry. THE YOUNG POPE maybe i just love jude law but his performance was so good. DECAMERON this is the most interesting premise a show had since ages. i love medieval stories and i haven’t seen many shows that are set in this period that are comedies SHERLOCK ik everyone has already seen this show, but i could watch this show a 100 times and i wouldn’t get bored.

It is soooooooo hard to believe in these days when everyone is set on villainising one another because that’s just easier than empathising or understanding, and then also to not use this to slip into an “I can fix him” mindset. But I am a bell hooks babe and I believe that the true power of love is to transform us. To be loved is to be CHANGED!!!!

Support our independent cinema screens!! I am a Londoner so I have memberships with BFI, Prince Charles and Picturehouse and it is totally worth it, especially as watching movies takes up a good chunk of my personality and I dislike watching things at home. Advanced screenings, access to smaller films, discounted tickets are all great but it’s also just nice to support these places who do so much in preserving the British independent film scene which is currently in an abysmal state. Curzon, Everyman, The Garden, Genesis, ICA and many more are also all great and I would be members of them all if I could. Big up BFI especially because I probably wouldn’t have got as far in both my career and love of film without them, and the Northampton Filmhouse in my hometown which was my first independent cinema. These are of course London based examples but I encourage everyone to support their local independents 🫶🏻
