taterhole i was high when i wrote this and instead meant that ā€œher musicā€ was just her own playlists so she wasnā€™t playing me kidā€™s music after i was a toddler šŸ˜­ she is not a musician she was just playing phantogram, amy winehouse, prince, nirvana etc at home/in the car when i was growing up

for the longest time iā€™d been avoiding the music my parents like bc theyā€™re my parents they canā€™t be Cool or Tasteful so i had avoided fiona apple, the smiths, the cure, descendents, the cranberries, many other 80s 90s indie favs & more. & im finally realizing that hey my parents are real people too & it brings a whole nother level of appreciation for them and for music and for Life
