everyone hates getting to red hook
everyone loves being in red hook
the trick is to live close enough to walk, and then you get beautiful views of the statue of liberty, the best bbq in the city, key lime pie, some of the most charming bars, and a slew of other fantastic restaurants.
it feels like you're in a beach town or something, but you're fully in brooklyn

But if you spend time in the East Village I recommend coffee at Abraço (perfect vibes if you can sit outside on a nice day) or Ninth Street Espresso and hang out in Tompkins Square Park!
And hit up Tompkins Square Bagels while you’re at it.
Also I’ve never been but hear good things about the Russian & Turkish Baths on E 10th Street.

Sounds complicated but actually SUPER easy! The thighs are just S+P, a liiiiiiiiil garlic powder then make sure they’re extremely dry and crisp them up on a pan for like 30 mins or so. Super juicy, crispy, and flavorful.
The chicken bits leftover are used as the base for the sauce and adds so much flavor. Yum yum yum!!!!!!
