Recently I’ve been passing my time in traffic by freestyling entire songs off the top of my head. I’ve been recording them too but I’m being a pussy and not posting them. But theyre pretty damn funny. Not because they’re comedic. But because I put my entire heart and soul into every single song I record. In my car. In traffic.
If you like karaoke, try this out. Just let your soul take over the song. It doesn’t have to be good. Just don’t stop singing when u stumble. It will also help ur quick thinking skills in the real world. I am 25% thinking quicker. Maybe 26%

I have always written lyrics in my notes app. I have never really taken them seriously though. With that said, I have just written a song with my guitar and built it by singing it out loud. I haven’t felt this creatively fulfilled in a while. It’s not a full song yet but it’s a solid chunk. It’ll probably never be heard by anyone but me but I feel so free right now.
Even if you think you’re bad at singing or bad at guitar, if you want to write a song, go and do it.

This is something I love to do. I have no concept of their quality but that doesn’t really matter. They sit in my notes app (or voice memos if I’m feeling Brave). They will never get instrumentation nor will they ever leave my phone, but I don’t mind.
