Got some Berkshire pork bacon and eggs too. Felt like quite the beauty queen walking around with my fragrant bouquet.
The guy at the donut stand gave me two of these for $1 each because they were a little weird from sitting out in the chilly rainy weather… then he went off on a rant about how he calls these his wonderbread donuts because some guy got one and gave him a bad review online that they taste like wonderbread/nothing, but he said that he tries not to let the bad reviews get to him. I told him the hater was probably used to Dunkin Donuts and that I believe in his donuts. I’ve had them before and they are actually amazing very clean taste
It’s 60° and cloudy with puddles everywhere from last night’s rain and the leaves are starting to fall! Benny met some new dogs. a very sweet lady sitting out front eating a baguette sandwich asked if she could pet him and let him lick bacon jam off of her hands. I got an almond orange blossom macaron, brownies, a challah loaf, challah buns for burgers, and monkey bread 🫦 they make theirs with leftover croissant dough
I always like red bean in desserts... and I usually love almond and vanilla-forward flavors... and who doesn't love a cruller? and by all means, get creative, the wacky flavors at places like dough are awesome. I'm not sure I've ever actually had a maple bar, so add one of those to the order. but also, I like apple cider donuts, which are cake donuts, but damn, they're just so good. especially when you get them from a farm and they're still a little warm. ... this is why I'm fat.
My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
