I have a Specific Nostalgic Things Pinterest board of things I had/remember. This is a fun and creative exercise where you can cherry pick aesthetic representations of particular places you loved, things you had (or wanted but didn't have), or times wished you could relive again. Rediscovering things you'd forgotten about is also very fun! You are still that person, in the same physical body, so surprise and delight them!!

One of the best influences a friend had on me is to make a Pinterest board of my own photos. Unlike apps like Instagram, a personal board allows you to fully fill it with yourself unabashedly. Mine works as a digital diary of everywhere I’ve been or seen. But, you could fill it with recipes, outfits, photography, anything. In time you will have created a collage reflective of yourself.

no interaction with others. i’m creating an endlessly populating vibe. it‘s the karmic ideal: you get out exactly what you put into it.
it has record of my tastes from as early as 2010. i can pore over it like a map of my aesthetic pleasure, see trends change, watch nostalgic reiterations of the past get their second lap.
i can see where i was feeling hope, my gym phases and the instructional videos from when i had a stripper pole in my apartment, various manic episodes diving into an entirely new hobby (cooking, yoga, journaling, sewing, vibe curation for a novel, DND characters, witchcraft), the tattoos i thought were cool when i was sixteen, and ideas for painting coolers for frat boys in college.

to me, pinterest captures abstract concepts and feelings like no other. ive literally even used it as a tool to process my emotions.
it’s so so special to me, and a board that ive been adding to for quite a while now is “alone with me” (hyperlinked).
this board is about my unattainable dream to live on an isolated island in a little lighthouse.
