BUG BITES

… NOT!!!!! my legs have been covered in itchy bites all summer that stick around for WEEKS!! seems like worse than usual for bug bites too. whatever pestilence has been unleashed upon me is biblical in proportion and whatever I have to do to abate this plague I will.

JUNE BUGS

We used to catch them at daycare and on my 6th birthday I caught 6 and felt like it was my first sign from the universe. But really I tapped in to say although I love bugs last year I encountered the Spruce Beetle (pictured) and also the deepest fear. Beware their awful antennae.

Children of Men

(minor spoilers, I guess?) a few long take bangers in this film, but the battle scene near the end is so goddamn good. follow Clive Owen and the pregnant young woman in his care as they get caught in a skirmish between two warring factions. Cuarón is the best.
