tyler Ok so it’s not Oakland but it’s the right side of the Bay. Great food and ambiance and the insane drive to get there adds to its ‘best kept secret’ vibe… and you get some Burning Man sculpture to enjoy afterwards
great spot to stop if you're biking up the west side highway
it's a boat that's permanently docked there with a bar + very good bar food
lovely spot to sit in the sun on the water with nice views only downside is that the music kinda sucks
- Ruby Wine / Aurora Alimentari - Grab a bottle at Ruby and some charcuterie at Aurora and enjoy in the parklet
- Mijote - French inspired tasting menu with an omakase style bar, fantastic!
- Rintaro Izakaya - Hip izakaya spot with great yakitori
- Taqueria El Farolito - Carne Asada super burrito
- El Chato - Spanish wine bar, grab a vermouth soda!
- Bar Part Time - Grab a bottle and dance
- Bon Nene - Cozy Japanese spot with a French twist
- Snail Bar (Oakland) - One of the best small plate/wine bars in the bay. Do a snail shot!
- Bar Gemini - Gorgeous wine bar from the fine folks at Gemini Bottle Co.
- ABV / Dalva - Great cocktails
SF:
La Cumbre (elite mission burrito spot)
Boba Guys (think like third wave coffee mentality does boba, very good)
Dandelion Chocolates (trussmi)
Burma Superstar (i’ve only been to the Oakland location) Bay:
Picante (Berkeley, best burrito I’ve had period)
Burma Superstar (Oakland, super good but super expensive)
South Beach/Drakes Beach (Marin County if you have a car it’s my favourite place in the world)
Boichik Bagels (i’m also a former NYer, they’re legit)
Bongo Burger (Berkeley, diner ass shit but fire. maybe it’s just nostalgia though)
Slash (Berkeley, the owner is a Levi’s freak who knows everything there is to know about Levi’s products, incredible vintage selection & knowledge)
Muracci’s (Berkeley, good japanese curry spot)
The beat is infectious, confident lyrics, full of substance (!), inspired by the medley from last week’s Strictly Come Dancing opening number as broadcast in the UK.
