I recently acquired a book of matches from my parents’ wedding and have been using it to light my bedtime candle. there’s just something so satisfying about hitting just the right angle on the book to strike it and smelling that smoke!
bonus points if its’s with a matchstick. the crrrr whpush, a little portal of warmth in the corner of your bedroom. light is light no matter the size. Plus, now my room smells like fresh linen 🧘🏾♀️
pretty sure i saw someone on here rec a clock radio instead of a phone alarm... now i don't open my eyes and immediately look at my phone and instead enjoy the classical and jazz from the college radio station in the morning. yes this ancient beast has a terrible speaker but the form factor is unrivaled
twice this week i was torn between going out or staying in, both times i decided to go to the event and both times were lovely. i literally found $100 on the ground tn because i decided to go dance instead of rotting in bed. there's an inertia to being home that's difficult to overcome, but you can't let that stop you from enjoying all the possibilities that exist out in the big world. literally YOLO
