That's a tough one
Everything in me wants to incorporate aviation into it, but then it just sounds like an aerospace/defense company... 'Where Experimentation Takes Flight' 'Flight Testing Creativity' 'Contemporary Flight Testers' 'Unconventional Test Flights' 'Aesthetic Flight Testers'
I'll think on it and add more out-of-the-box ones later when my brain is working. More: 'At Musing Altitude' (A dumb cruising altitude pun, but puns are in again :D) 'Where Weird Wears Wings' (Too much alliteration?) 'Safer Than Boeing' Also the Mag sounds incredibly cool, and I can't wait to check it out more!

'Breaking the Print Barrier' I had the same thought tho — check out Tom Wolfe's 1979 book The Right Stuff for more inspiration, the beginning is very evocative of the experimental pilot culture (which became what we now think of as astronaut culture)

Ties in the aviation + experimentation + still highlights the magazine. A little paper airplane could be a great logo for merch too. Lots to go off of there. I might make a doodle of this for fun

ideas for pilot mag slogan
Ok so, Pilot could allude to 3 things: flight, light/flame, and a pilot episode. I tried to think of some slogans that played on one or more of those. get greenlit — this is fun and punchy but maybe a bit too silly for your tone… could come up with others using “greenlight”. fly(ing) without wings — quite catchy but a maybe too cheesy… also apparently the name of a hit single by Irish boy band Westlife, lol. THIS IS A TEST. — my personal fav! It’s punchy and intriguing, would look cool on merch imo, and is a spinoff of your original ideas.
Will edit to add more if I think of em! P.S. I was your 7000th follower 🤝

PI.FYI FIELD RECORDING COMPILATION, VOL. I
Here it is, folks! Volume I of what could very well be a continuous project. Thank you so much to everyone that submitted - I smiled the entire time I was putting this together. It's best listened to with headphones ☺️ Liner Notes: This collection of field recordings is a collaborative effort with users of PI.FYI, each of which recorded their own pieces. It features audio from all over the world and exhibits eclectic moments from London Underground commutes to cuckoo bird calls in Dhaka to the sounds of a century-old American diner.
Online communities like PI.FYI often represent a diverse set of people, places, and experiences, but together, the submissions form a living collage that highlights the commonalities of modern life - a unifying message for such a tumultuous time. The first track features all of the sounds played at once in an attempt to create an audio snapshot of an online community but in their offline lives.
The individual recordings are unedited except for minor gain and compression adjustments for consistency across the collection.
