i find it extremely tasteless when someones measure of a good fit is the number of brands and logos they are sporting. being able to afford a brand doesn't immediately make a good outfit. it just means you have too much money and not enough taste. also the people i've come across who have this philosophy are so often extremely snobby.
fast fashion is pushing our planet into the trash, why would you pay attention? don't follow the brands, and don't follow influencers who seriously promote the brands. buy vintage. find people who each think for themselves, and appreciate them for the way they explore their own style, and not as platonic ideals you need to imitate.
Wear and rewear the same clothes until there’s holes in them, and then sew up the holes. Fast fashion demands we stay on top of every fad that comes by and that we shouldn’t repeat the same look twice. THAT is why we have massive landfills of clothes! If you love a piece, wear it until you can’t anymore. That’s a sign you’ve found your own true personal style. Now THAT is fashion.
