remembered i have free will and i’m in charge of my finances. so i made jollof rice and lamb chops with fried plantain for dinner! it was so worth been wanting jollof rice for ages and spending a chunk of my evening making it was rewarding cause this is the best one i‘ve ever made it actually!
lucius ok so i loosely follow this recipe every time but there aren’t very specified amounts for each ingredient so you’re free to adjust to your preferences or add stuff even. i put in a pinch of cinnamon today which worked really well!

this week was my wife’s birthday + our dating anniversary (five years !), so i set out to make all of her favorite meals / dishes she had mentioned wanting over the past few weeks. planning everything out, physically writing out recipes, surprising her with every meal was so enjoyable. this week made me realize how much i have missed cooking! and that it doesn’t have to just be done to feed yourself!
i just made the most delightful scrumptious dinner. get this - asiago bagel, toasted, duh. cream cheese. gingerly, delicately placed spinach, and then smoked salmon on top, sprinkled with pepper. the whole process of making my meal, i was mindful, i was excited about it, i took my time. and you know what - i tasted the love. i can tell it was made with the purpose of nourishing my body, being delicious, and being love-filled, obviously. thank you, me :')
crush texted me and i said hell yeah nigga we up really loud and i saw my supervisor look very taken aback but i luckily have my camera off so i’m gonna lie and blame my brother
