I saw this album on a list of the best pop punk from the 2000s and loved the cover. A wizard fighting robot sharks atop a squid was kind of the fun vibe I wanted for that summer so I gave the album a listen and absolutely loved it. It is such a perfect pop punk/easycore album and always makes it into my summer rotation.

It pains me to say it but I was into Ska Punk, I blame it on the Tony Hawk‘s Pro Skater soundtracks. When I found this CD in a discount bin of my favourite record store I thought I had unearthed some forgotten artifact. It stayed in my disc-man until it would no longer play. This is the indie coming of age album for kids that got in trouble with mom because their friends dared them to eat worms when they were 8, and they did it. It’s like if Two Door Cinema Club and Franz Ferdinand were in highschool debate team and weren’t good at it. It’s like being too scared to steal your parents alcohol for a party.

My friend Liam got sent these by accident when he ordered vans and gave them to me since they sent him size 13. These shoes are goofy and I don't know who would buy them but I wear them all the time because I think they're really fun and have a lot of character.
