anything ethel cain- her new album, perverts, is such an awesome project. but songs like strangers, thoroughfare, sun bleached flies, inbred,,, i could go on. also muna, lucy dacus, boygenius (of course), and like. more than i could list really ! itβs the middle of summer here- hottest on record for a while (#globalwarming π) but iβve been feeling the more autumnal musical vibes (this being said, i love summer. do not get me wrong. summer is my girl. my FAV girl.)- but this means iβve been putting on a bit of the slower, folkier, indie music. still a lot of upbeat stuff, but a bit more balance.

one of the best concept albums of all time. follows a young woman named Ethel Cain (the character, not the artist) as she encounters various men and eventually meets her violent death at the hands of one of the men. truly visceral and even disturbing at some parts but so so good, really recommend giving it a listen
