I love the tourist t-shirts. The ones that say dumb stuff like "AUSTRALIA! 10,000 miles away!" or have the city landmarks and city names or whatever. Even from places I've never been. I used to buy magnets, but they break in luggage sometimes. A t-shirt? Neverrrr - it's part of my wearable art collection now, I fear.

I’m a serial monogamist when it comes to t-shirts. Whichever oneĀ  has made it out of hiding, it tends to be ’the one’ for seemingly ages until, for whatever Ā reason, it changes. And then, that one is ’the one’. The current ā€˜one’ is an oldie: Keith Haring for Cotton On (Iconic Aussie brand). Pale pink, big and baggy. Note to self - don’t Ā ruin or lose.

Whether from your own town or one you’re visiting – nothing beats local merch. A few weeks ago I stayed on Winnipesaukee and hit up the locals’ favorite grocery mart ā€œJoJo’sā€. I couldn’t leave without a branded classic diner mug. I also own a tee from the town I live in, copped from the CVS down the road, as well as a giant assortment of tees and trinkets from other vacation spots. If it’s a place that documents your travels or life, it will bring you joy using/wearing it, (plus its just sick to rep a place or business that’s hyper-specific to your life).

it's totally cool to age and society still isn't equipped to deal with that.

Sometimes you try your best and everything seems to hit the fan no matter how much you try, so you take that raincheck and take yourself out for a day.

This is what I call it hahahah made by mums everywhere but the greased up version is sold along stalls in Mumbai. Two regular slices of white bread, buttered, and the middle filling is cream cheese with red onions, coriander/cilantro, tomatoes and some minced chillis. All veggies chopped mini cube size so they blend with the cheese. Toasted crispy.
