Really solid power pop from 2021. Saw them open for Frankie Cosmos in 2018 while traveling and thought they were good back then and every time this song comes on shuffle I think about how solid it is.

I love how vulnerable the song is. I love this band and all their songs are kinda sad but incredibly beautiful and full of raw emotion. I’ve been listening to them since I was a teenager and somehow they’ve always managed to tell my life story back to me.

I think I've bawled my eyes out to every track at this point for different reasons. not even exaggerating. once you think you're done with it you get hit with a brand new emotion and find new symbolism in the lyrics. and another painful feeling to unfurl and free yourself from. if I could get everyone to listen to an album this would be my pick

you’ve probably seen this already but it still makes me cry , a deeply emotive & dramatic performance (of a simply perfect song) that surprises & really connects across the screen
the way he hits his chest hard enough for the mic to pick up & letterman’s genuine enthusiastic joy at it all bring it home to me 🥲

I met Erin (@RIOTGRRRL) and Jake (@SLOWDAZZLE) last year after I started using PI.FYI—we organized a meetup before a Jonathan Richman show and immediately clicked over our shared taste in music and similar sensibilities. We started hanging out a lot and had some great times together. I’ve also gotten to know many of their friends, who are all really cool. Erin and Jake started dating a couple of months after the three of us became friends, but our group chat still pops off. Their friendship has meant a lot to me, especially since moving to NYC in 2023, and I really appreciate having them in my life.
