which is one of the best television shows of all time period. classic Beavis & Butthead but also the reboot episodes are so funny i don’t know why this linked video had me dying laughing (the movies are also incredible not that you asked)… Spongebob also hits different sometimes when you come back to it as an adult and realize how weirdly relatable it is like when Squidward moves to the community of other Yuppie Squidwards and becomes disillusioned living in cultural and species homogeneity

I’m from the Dallas area and I can say with full confidence that King of the Hill is far and away the best representation of Texas in all of media. There’s a genuine, if somewhat conflicted, love of the place at its core that kept it from ever straying into mean-spirited territory. I knew so many Bobbys, LuAnns, Josephs, and Connies as a kid, the street I grew up on had multiple Hank Hill-types (complete with the lack of an ass), so many Peggys as teachers or the moms of friends. My high school marching band even did a Chuck Mangione-themed show one year.

lucius omfg no way I’m surprised you hadn't seen it. I wish I could go back and experience it again but I recently rewatched the first couple of seasons and it’s still just about as good the second or third time!!

KING OF THE HILL

I love this tv show more and more everytime I rewatch it. It gives me a lot of nostalgia to watching it growing up, and seeing a lot of elements to my childhood growing up in the south. Plus it’s hilarious. Hank and Bobby Hill always remind me a lot of my dad and me. I really appreciate all the slice of life moments in the animation too, which is rare to see in a lot of American animated shows.

best cartoon ever made!!! america’s anime. every night i watch… i love these characters like family. Peggy Hill is the Realest Woman* ever rendered on TV and every episode makes me laugh! sometimes even… makes me cry :)

Never changing

My dad teases me about how when I was a little kid, my favorite thing to do when I was on the landline phone with somebody—be it a relative or one of my best friends—was to breathlessly describe the things that were in my bedroom so that they could have a mental picture of everything I loved and chose to surround myself with, and where I sat at that moment in time. Perfectly Imperfect reminds me of that so thanks for always listening and for sharing with me too 💌
