Big Bud Press has incredible socks. both thick and thin - I like the thin best, for wearing in loafers, vans, tighter sneakers or boots. They also have thicker ones that are great for sneakers and bigger boots. All cotton, many colors. Stay Forever is a gift store in Ridgewood, Queens that has novelty socks with cool color combos that I love. No idea if they make them themselves or where they get them but they are so cute
I’m sure they are all great but I especially love the “girlfriend” style, which is shorter in length. Comes in every color you could dream of and is worth the price. I’ve had a few pairs for more than a year and they are still going strong. I’d recommend hand washing to keep the colors nice and vivid 😇

Even if you have other creative pursuits that require your brain to work, it’s fun to have one that requires very little thought or attention. I started crocheting a couple years ago and it’s perfect while sitting in front of the TV or listening to a podcast or just zoning out. Makes me feel productive even as my brain melts out my ears, and makes me feel creative even when I’m not doing any cooler, more challenging projects that require more of my energy.
