It's hard to explain the cultural significance of Vine to anyone that didn't experience it. I can still remember the Vines I made despite losing them to the whims of the business decisions that would eventually shutter the platform forever. It was beautiful in its simplicity and held a special place in the hearts of many. The memory of it only lives on in shoddy YouTube compilations that could easily be overlooked as clickbait to the untrained eye. For those of us that remember, the compilations still have the capacity to shepherd us through our darkest moments.

I remember being like 16 when this came out and I was obsessed, every product I wanted came from one of these videos. I miss the old glossier marketing, the homemade video feel.

Tbh I would say it comes down to that. SOME People feel a sense of superiority or pride with Liking obscure things I guess.
My advice is to own it, and just enjoy what you like. Compared to other people I see on this app, as well as me growing up, Iβm realizing that I am very basic and mainstream in my tastes and with what I like.
Just have fun, who cares anyways?
