I’m not saying to be mean or rude, but we should normalize conflicts and shouldn’t stay away from them.
You should be who you are wholeheartedly, rather than save face just to be liked. You’ll respect yourself a lot more.

I recently watched The Monkey for free at Chicago's Music Box Theatre — and even stuck around for Perkin's Q&A session. I have to say, it was the best movie-going experience I've ever had. An organist played the score with diabolical cymbals in the background — come on! And the movie was hilarious and equal parts gory!

Tbh I would say it comes down to that. SOME People feel a sense of superiority or pride with Liking obscure things I guess.
My advice is to own it, and just enjoy what you like. Compared to other people I see on this app, as well as me growing up, I’m realizing that I am very basic and mainstream in my tastes and with what I like.
Just have fun, who cares anyways?
