any ideas on how to prevent people from abusing this (i.e. re-recing your own rec a hundred times a day to boost it).
twitter gets around this by only letting you re-rec things once
i also feel the urge to re-rec something ive already talked about with fresh context, etc, but maybe there should be a time restraint e.g. you can only re-rec something max once a week/month
thoughts?

tyler hmm what if you can only re-rec yourself if you comment? That way the self re-recs are more obvious/trackable and if someone is constantly re-reccing with comment people can see it for what it is and the site will self-regulate the clout chasers by unfollowing/disengaging. Otherwise I think a time limit (once a week/month) would be a good option
