A Swedish movie about a space ferry that was intended to carry people to Mars but instead gets hopelessly knocked off their trajectory. A real existential, people-in-a-glass-bottle movie. My mind wanders back to it a lot.
for another niche scifi story, A for andromeda, with a surprisingly depressing ending. Do yourself a favor and read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia before watching this thing youāll have a better time trust me. It Really ahead of it's time cinematically .
I love sci-fi, but I donāt watch a lot of movies because itās always āman versus machineā. Itās always predictable how something will always go wrong, the tech will fail, etc. I know Interstellar has rave reviews, but I didnāt see it until today. Now I know why everyone loves it. It was never a question of āwill the technology allow us to do thingsā, it was more about the human choices and sacrifices we have to make with the limitations of technology and who weāre making those sacrifices for.
