LookâŚI loathe Facebook. Like, a lot. But these glasses may be my favorite tech product of the last few years. The convenience of taking photos and video and calls and listening to music on the surprisingly good speakers is just excellent. They look good, feel comfortable and allow me to take photos of things I normally missed in the past because I donât always have my phone out. The privacy controls are enough that you can prevent Facebook from tracking stuff. You donât have to share your data (Unless you use the AI then youâre of course sharing your questions and stuff). The product is that good that I was willing to take a risk and get them.
3D Glasses are the new wave. Theyâre always so flattering on the face, could pass as Balenciaga and theyâre ultimately free. My new thing: wearing them IRL. SorryâŚ
I wore contacts for well over a decade before on a whim I bought a pair of the "Frankie" model while on a stay in NYC so that I could see the TV in my hotel room without needing to fall asleep in my contacts and effectively just never wore contacts again. My daily driver is a pair of the Lemontosh in Havana with a barely blue tint. It makes, at least to me, the hereditary dark circles under my eyes seem less visible and makes everything around me look as though it's that tinted blue that all old episodes of Top Gear had. I have gradient, clear, jet black, etc and always want another pair.
Get and keep a copy of a movie on a hard drive or Blu-ray somewhere. If you âpurchaseâ movies through sites like Amazon Prime or Apple TV/iTunes (RIP) youâre merely licensing it and they can take away your access at any time for whatever reason they want. I donât advocate pirating movie content you donât already own, but if you own a copy of a movie or show, go ahead and download a digital copy to back it up somewhere so they canât take it away from you.
