genuinely believe journaling has saved my mental health but doing it in public alone is such a better alternative to going on your phone and also if you have a pretty notebook it's a great conversation starter

mia_ldim there is an easy fix for this which is either journal in a language that is not English or invent your own alphabet/cypher to journal in…. I do the latter and it is both a very fun exercise and means that you dont ever have to Worry about someone reading it unless they like REALLY wanted to

Journaling saves my life on a daily basis. Being able to become present after a long hectic day or even just taking time to recount a beautiful day is really grounding to me. It’s so insane to be able to look back at a journal from three years ago and feel exactly how you / your world around you felt at that time. Also, a great alternative to social media. - Jack

I've been journaling lately, and it's been such a game-changer! It's super simple – just grab a notebook or even an app on your phone. The best part is, there's no right or wrong way to do it. You can write (draw) about anything that's on your mind, from daily happenings to random thoughts and feelings. It's a great way to clear your head and get in touch with yourself. Plus, it can be really therapeutic to see your thoughts on paper (or screen). You might find it helps you process stuff and even spark some new ideas. Give it a try

as a 25 year old who had just turned 21 right before the pandemic hit i often have very similar feelings that i missed out on a formative time of my youth and that im “behind” where i should be right now (especially in terms of self/identity development), what’s helps me is i try to zoom my thoughts waaayyyy out and think about how when im older someday ill prob envy 25 year olds too and then i decide to just try my hardest to live in the moment forever and cherish being here in the first place cause in the grand scheme of things aging is a gift!!!! easier said than done of course but this is what helps me
