one of the most brilliant singer-songwriter records this year just came out. found her music seeing her open for Bright Eyes last year. The album hits all the right notes, it’s ethereal and lush but also intimate, carried by her amazing voice. There are echoes of Julia Holter and Joanna Newsom but the songwriting feels more ”grounded” than either of those artists if that makes sense.
