there’s no room in this hell and there’s no room in the next but does anyone notice there’s a corpse in this bed? — the entire album is stellar. every lyric is full of imagery and raw emotion that can only be felt in your 20s. the reality of becoming an adult coinciding with the hopefulness leftover from your teen years.

this bad boy is waiting for someone at CineFile Video Movie Rental 📀
I told a friend the other day I tried rolling up to the box office at MSG for Charli XCX's sold out show and my friend responded "what are you on Seinfeld?". Tea. But going to the box office is something that this digital age does not always consider. I have had much luck at any other "sold out" show in NYC by going to the box office on the day of, purchasing a ticket at face value, and strutting on into the venue. Typically the venue holds a row or so for the occasion. Unfortunately, the box office in reference at the top of this rec, did not deliver on my hopes and dreams of being Brat.

Staying at the Roxy in NY (formerly the Tribeca Grand) is akin to being on an elegant cruise in Manhattan. It’s my home away from home in the city. Everything is there: from live jazz in the massive atrium lobby with the glass elevator zipping up and down and the divine food and drinks (I recommend the lobster roll and a mescal cocktail) in recessed leather booths shaped like teacups, to the gorgeous red velvet theater below - which offers the best films on screen in Manhattan - curated by the brilliant Illyse Singer. After attending a killer film and fascinating Q&A, retreat to the Django, the speakeasy next door, which stays open til 4AM and is often where the hottest underground music acts play… What else could you ask for?

i think the mixture of an overactive imagination and hypersensitivity led me to being supremely terrified of the dark. i used to sleep with the lights on for years, which is probably why my circadian rhythm is fucked. i remember being so scared of looking outside my window at night. i always thought that something would appear and it would be something i wouldn’t be able to comprehend— which scared the absolute shit out of me. im still (somewhat) afraid of the dark, so going out at night can be a feat unless im inebriated
