the weather does dictate the coffee we chose for our day. however, i like to think that people's baseline preference speaks for them. a hot coffee is like warmth and almost purposeful. so i think people who drink hot coffee's are appreciative of classic, timeless things and also they seem so put together/morning people. cold coffee or iced coffee drinkers i think would be more active, adventurous even. an iced coffee could be had at any time and so the people drinking it are usually easy going and flexible...
I could be wrong about all of this though but it's fun to think about.

it’s the middle of january but i’m still drinking iced coffee. someone offered me a free hot coffee at an event and i didn’t even want it. i think hot drinks relax me too much, so when i need to lock in i need something cold and energizing

I’m a black coffee drinker at home but if I’m spending money (in THIS economy) I’m gonna zhuzh it up a bit.
I was really into dirty chai the past few seasons- hot or iced depending- but I’ve been shifting back into lattes. A very cute local spot just opened up and they do themed drinks every month, which I love, but I can never taste the added flavors. I’m reminded that a well made latte rarely does me wrong. If I get it hot, it’s with whole milk. Iced with almond. Dairy in the heat feels 😖

when everything feels lame and nothing sounds appealing its because i'm overthink the activity or i think it won't be that good. so if you do the first easy idea that comes to mind! you'll feel better and slowly get out of the slump!
examples:
eat something different and fun
take a walk? always lame but you WILL feel a 1000% better
read funny or romance no thought stuff
go thrifting not for cheap and funky trinkets!
being in a funk makes everything seem too much, so getting out of it should be kinda like stopping ur brain from being over-worked... atleast from my perspective!

ive heard some people say reading the time on a clock is lame but to me it’s so classy & like i’m back in 1890 (heart eyes 4 analog clocks)
plus the way they’re made, the thought behind making them work the beautiful architectural genius of it agh!
