Topo bags are rugged as hell, and there are all sorts of styles and sizes. There's also a Rover Pack Mini, but my Classic is perfectly sized for a laptop, notebooks, utensils, small cameras, etc. I highly recommend getting the sternum strap that clips across the chest and sinches the bag higher and closer to your body. This takes a ton of stress off the lower back even when fully loaded up.
