This is a song for the leftists who grew up in conservative families who‘d spend their summers at the lake with all their friends and their families blasting country music, most of which was terrible. BUT THERE ARE GEMS! Sometimes you just need to grow a pair and recognize that conservatives know how to have a damn good time when they’re not busy ruining everything. I’m dying for some progressive friends who see the aesthetic vision and are down to blast this song and blow that smoke on the lake on a summer night.
I say this only ONE night out of the year…

It may be my avoidant or counter culture tendencies, but with the prevalence of brat summer I wanna go in the opposite direction with this bluegrass album. I feel a resurgence in actual country music now that post-9/11 reactionary conservative country has gone full on brain rot. (it literally struck me so hard when I realized pop-country music is just childrens music for maga.) So I’m happy to start finding the true voices of the genre.

this is not “good music” nor is it good country music but it’s a great experience. I also love the idea of anyone not in the USA whipping this banger out at a function. I can no longer listen to this song while driving bc last time i hit 92mph in my ‘03 camry.
