I went with the criterion “has continually listened since discovering it” and yeah, a few are searingly uncool, but they’ve been a consistent presence in my life. Some of these are new loves, others are going on 20 years of regular airtime 🙀
I get why I loved them so much in high school, not why I just stopped listening to them until last week essentially. Triumphant and fun and sad. All of the pre 2008 albums still hold up, and their recent stuff is respectable considering how some of their peers are going.
