https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hd8XeO0WO7M kareem rahma/subway takes has a new talk show - the first episode features boomers and millennials exploring generational differences. i'm very curious about the evolution of this show. kareem does a solid job of controlling the conversation. they use ai/digitally altered images to emphasize talking points and add some humor. it was an entertaining watch but i am left wondering what the show is trying to accomplish outside of making long form content out of short form content.

Film Forum is the OG but Metrograph is younger and hungrier, with a more diverse slate of films and an emphasis on rediscovered or neglected classics. Great atmosphere too, with a restaurant and bookstore. you can’t go wrong!

i don't live in NYC anymore but when i did for a beautiful brief moment screen slate was my best friend. basically a collectivized list of all the repertory cinemas and their respective showtimes for the day, plus a summary of current art exhibitions currently on display at various museums. doing a cheeky two day trip to the big apple at the end of march and you already KNOW i'm using this goated site to plan my days.

This guy built a 1,000 gallon cloud rainforest terrarium IN HIS HOME and filled it with insects, fish, and reptiles. (Every week he introduces different creatures to the habitat and informs his followers with ongoing story lines and updates. He's on Week 5 and already we've witnessed the birth of new life, the loss of beloved characters, and a brewing civil war between ant species.
