truly my fav late night hobby - so relaxing to colour while watching a show or listening to a podcast - the book im filling in rn is leila duly's beautiful planet which has very beautiful illustrations
It’s kinda nice to wind down, even if the winding begins at 1am, with a little art. Currently working on turning one of my Column Named Colin’s (substack) into a zine. Just doing 2 pages a night, in bed, sippin’ and munchin’, watching emergency intercom. it’s lovely!
this may sound silly but think back to what times of the day were your favorite in like pre-k through 2nd grade ages. I personally was a big fan of our ‘relaxation time’ where my teacher read us a book while we just chilled or colored quietly. I recreate this now by throwing on an audio book or podcast then doing something simple and mindless like coloring books :)
there’s nothing better than do something (it can be your hobbie or even some work, it don’t matter) late at night when no one is disturbing you, you have no new notifications at your phone, your neighbourhood is silent, the world is quiet and calm that’s the best time
i sometimes feel like asks get lost among other posts and go answered - you never know if the original asker or someone else still needs the answer to a question so why not go ahead and answer even if it’s from a week/month/year ago ❤️
today someone told me something about myself and they were just so completely off base that i started questioning my tone and facial expressions bc that was in no way the vibe i was going for a related anti rec: people who meet you once and assume that they know everything about you (which they obviously don’t)
