took me forever to find an affordable genuine leather sandal that wouldnāt fall apart after a year. bought these on mercari secondhand and they are very comfy and durable! fyi it looks like a buckle but itās velcro underneath so easy to put on / take off but i felt a little silly at first haha
reliable comfort shoe brand w such a large variety of styles (to quote the guy at the shoe repair shop who refinished the toe on my boots, āvery powerful companyā) great deals on real leather boots/clogs if you look on poshmark and ebay
i see a lot of genuine leather shoes from this brand at thrift stores! seems like a good option for long-lasting shoes that arenāt made of plastic āleatherā that will start flaking in a few months
Iām the kind of person that knows exactly what I want, and then I work to find that thing. I looked at a lot of sandals. These are it for me, and maybe they will be perfect for you! Hereās what I love:
-neutral color
-have a back strap (I be movinā)
-sustainably made
-COMFYYYYY
-washable. I literally hose them off.
-can dress them up or down They are a bit pricey ($65) but personally for good shoes Iāll pay that. I know Iām going to be wearing these until they fall apart.
after five years of grad school and subsequent job search, i can finally say i have successfully changed careers š i start my new job counseling kids at a community mental health clinic on Monday. yesterday was my last shift at the grocery store that was an escape from my horrible corporate job and a sustaining force throughout grad school. itās so bittersweet to leave the sweetest coworkers iāve ever had and the most fun iāve had at work. itās immeasurably healing to quit a job for only good reasons. my coworkers got me a cake, everyone wrote notes in a card, and the goodbyes throughout the day made my heart swell. i even got to tell the good news to my favorite instacarter š„ŗ after i clocked out for the last time, my friends joined me for gelato at the cafe and we strolled the store for a final time, this time as simply a loyal customer.
