went to my favourite bar and ended up chatting with my favourite bartender for a while. the language barrier didn't feel like an issue anymore. the bar ran out of food but he said we are more than welcome to just get food from elsewhere and eat at the bar even after we finished our drinks. felt like I'm making connections and am being accepted as a local in the city.
also realised it was his birthday yesterday while my friend and i were leaving, so we wished him, but we're going back tomorrow with a cake for him cause he's always the sweetest :)
i went to my friendโs degree show last night which was amazing. i was outside while she was trying to round everyone else up and i started talking to this a girl and her friend. we were talking about all the art weโd just seen, theyโre also artists as well and they invited me to their shows. but more than that it was just nice to chit chat for a bit.
on a whim, my friends and I hung out before work. One friend had slept over and drove me around as I ran some pre-work errands that I needed to do before a trip. Ended up with a 3rd friend joining and us bopping around our city. I made it to work on time and had already had a fair amount of laughs before 9am. For those with a boring desk job, maybe this could radicalize a generation. Life is about hanging with friends perhaps!!!
leaves you susceptible to dating someone for too long because they play a role rather than it being about who they are. if you go in open to every situation, it will play out as its supposed to naturally (sometimes with a little nudge)
go drink some right now
itโs good for your body and skin and has magical healing properties when consumed at the right times. currently itโs helping me beat a hangover
