I absolutely devoured this book when it came out then gifted my annotated and well-loved copy to a short-lived love interest and realised I did not learn anything from those stories
my neighbor was moving out and left a community pile of books (pictured). i picked it up and immediately fell in love w it. learned afterwards it was super popular before but !! my ignorance did result in bliss (: finished yesterday + would recommend if you liked Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton
I very pathetically and desperately read just about anything promised to appeal for "fans of Gillian Flynn". This is the 1 in 50 that delivers, and not as a rip off or homage, but its own specific dark jewel. Just a riveting and very awful (positive) novel. So rarely does something capture this part of childhood, the very primal and un-socialized us vs. them, me vs. you, jealousy and confused pre-maturity longing and disgust. Crazy!

itβs a beautiful beautiful book and a quick read which is a major pro for my attention span. Its poignant, well articulated and the characters are intriguing and not overly dramatized.
I am recommending rugby shirts to everyone you should be wearing rugby shirts especially if you are a cool guy polos are coming back but I enjoy long sleeves and plus rugby shirts have funky patterns so they are way sicker than most polos i actually have 8 rugby shirts and they are all funky fresh
