I was a little thrown off by the Blockchain method they employ but they've explained their minimal environmental impact very clearly in their FAQ: https://help.ninaprotocol.com/hc/en-us/articles/14334558382231-What-s-the-environmental-impact-of-using-Nina
Also semi-fungible tokens are interesting. Thanks for suggesting it!
It would be great if PI could share things that aren't just on Spotify. I'm on team SoundCloud but I've been experimenting with Carbon, I downloaded dublab and ROVR but I haven't tried those yet. I'm a little too inundated with music apps 🙃 which is not a bad place to be!
The only music platform that lets artists keep 100% of their earnings all year round most importantly—secondly theres such a rich collection of music from indie/alternative labels and independent artists around the world !! so many great finds since i started using this from labels like AD93, Firetalk, Escho and so much more! my friends and i actually run a label of our own and our entire catalog is avails on there! https://ninaprotocol.com/hubs/gushersound?ref=6UEWi1u4GpWNRXvx6qXDkxw7YLhFwLivWEPN6pFZzMW2 drop a comment for free collection codes for any release on our hub! start a digital music collection <3
@NINAPROTOCOL app has been delivering some wild stuff to my ears as of late, their discover feature scratches the internet-brain itch to scroll. its all small label/self releases, feels more fresh than regurgitated spotify discover stuff (it’s BEEN discovered spotify, jesus) I also follow them on here for more detailed recs p.s. 💙 u nina!
sooo many good tunes I'm discovering for the first time. so many hidden gems. adding many tracks to my listening queue and savouring them one my one.
I'm so happy 🥰
tomorrow PI.FYI launches to the public this project is the result of thousands of hours spent coding everything from scratch after I got laid off six months ago no thiel-bucks or weirdo outsider money, just a pure desire to make something fun and true to Perfectly Imperfect’s day one goal of helping people find new things from real human beings, not algorithms or AI a pure labor of love that I’ve been quietly plotting for two years and it’s completely self-funded from my (rapidly) dwindling savings account so thank you for coming along for this weird ride 🫶 let's see where it goes
