I was in London last summer and general admission for a lot of their museums is free and you then can pay to get into special exhibits. We went to the Taft and Victoria and Albert and both were incredible!
Awesome permanent collection! Great special exhibits (the expressionists exhibit was a lot of fun). I really like how a lot of the museums in England are free for the permanent collection. We just happened to be in the area and it was so easy to make the choice to spend time here without worrying whether or not we were getting our moneys worth
i'm super into art history so i loved it there. i plan on stopping there again if i ever go back to london. it will probably be a solo trip because i was moving way too slowly for my sisters. they have paintings dating back to the 1200s! and i love reading every little info card each painting has
