Rec'd on šŸ—£ļø What are some good ways to internalize a second language when you canā€™t converse with native speakers on the regular?
Language reactor chrome extension
It shows you subtitles in 2 languages at once, and has other helpful features like the ability to automatically pause after each sentence so you canactually read them. What Iā€™m currently trying and liking is watching a tv show first with either just English or both language subtitles, then with subtitles in the target language, then with no subtitles. Forces you to concentrate and work on listening.

Depends on the language
Iā€™ll switch my phone interface to that language to help recall better. Flash cards, translating from one language to another mentally, also works. Also making music playlists and definitely watching films/shows in that language help too

The one by Jennifer Piercy. Insight timer is a meditation app, I use it for the timer and sometimes guided meditations like this one. I like her straightforwardness, itā€™s not too new agey. I can honestly say I donā€™t think ive ever heard the whole mediation because it puts me out.
