this sport has taken over my life since wimbledon 2023, i recommend choosing a player to support and letting it consume you. also i watched federer v nadal at the 2005 miami open final today and it was great!
I just saw king Richard the other day and WOW I’m on the same wavelength. been watching old Venus and Serena matches from their youth- hard to describe how great they are. I’ve been trying to learn tennis all summer and after every attempt, it makes me respect the sport more and more.
discovering my love for tennis this year has been huge for me. from the paris olympics, to the cincinnati open, to the US open…it's been incredibly fun following my favorite players, carlos alcaraz and coco gauff, and witnessing their highs and lows. i've seen how difficult it is to achieve sustained success in the sport, which gives me a greater appreciation for anyone who competes at a high level, no matter their rank.
THAT MEN'S SINGLES FINAL AT ROLAND GARROS WAS FUCKING INSANE TENNIS IS AMAZING WOW
I'm big carlos alcaraz fan since day 1 fr, I was a federer fan and carlos basically vamos federer so this one felt good. But the shit was just a crazy tennis match
ITS JUST LIKE CHALLENGERS IRL 😭 seriously what an amazing match !! i don’t even watch tennis and i was mesmerized! get some friends and beers and rewatch it , don’t even need to know the rules (i sure didn’t!) and refer to them as art and patrick the whole time

if you’re a wikipedia addict like me and you like going down internet rabbit-holes, this is a cool website that will take you to random old websites that haven’t been updated in a while. mostly it‘s a lot of old personal websites and blogs which makes it a really nice time capsule from before the internet died.
